COMPETITION RULES
1. The competition is open to teams of men (maximum 24 teams) and women (maximum 12 teams).
2. This competition is three a side (no goalkeeper) with one substitute.
3. Each team must have not more than four members, including substitutes.
4. Game time is 8 mins in the group stages and q-finals and 10 mins in the semi-finals and finals.
5. During the first round league system will be use and knockout system in the following rounds.
6. This competition is subject to the rules and regulations set out by the organizers.
7. Registration fees will not be refunded for withdrawal after payment is received.
8. The closing date for entries is on 17th May 2013.
9. Other than the regulations listed here, normal IFF floorball rules apply.

What is Floorball ?

Floorball, a type of floor hockey, is an indoor team sport which was developed in the 1970s in Sweden. Floorball is most popular in areas where the sport has developed the longest, such as the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. The game is played indoors on a wooden or rubber mat floor or just a basketball court, making it a year-round sport at amateur and professional levels. The game of floorball is also known by many other names, such as salibandy (in Finland), innebandy (in Sweden and Norway), and unihockey (in Switzerland and Germany). The names "salibandy" and "innebandy" are derived from bandy; both of those names literally translate to "indoor bandy". Unihockey is derived from "universal hockey" since it is meant to be a special and simplified hockey form.
